The car is a 1948 Chrysler Royal Club Coupe. It will be an upgraded original driver. Powered by a Chrysler L Head 6 engine and driven with a 3sdp standard trans and 3.54 rear end. The engine, clutch, and trans are from a 1951 Canadian Dodge Coronet, it's a 218 Big Block 6. The restoration will be a body on, as it is my first kick at the can. I originally bought the car from my uncle in 1988. I did not bring the car home until June 2005. To date I have done all the brake system and exhaust. I have cleaned up the engine, got the engine in running form, with a rebuilt carb , distributor, and new ignition parts. I will be repairing the rusty floor areas next as well as the rockers and undercarriage cleaned sanded and painted.
I am located in the RM (aka county) of St Andrews Manitoba Canada 15 miles north of Winnipeg City.
